HOW TO PLAN YOUR EVENT

WHAT IS AN ‘OWANBE’ WITHOUT FOOD?

One thing we are known for in this part of the world is our love for parties. We love good parties.

We will all agree that one major difference between a normal party and a good party is the food; we love good food.

A good party is not easily forgotten and a bad party leaves a stigma.

Some months back I went for a party and instead of eating the food I was served there, I decided to take it home, while the party was going on, I noticed that people were not eating the rice only the meat, naturally, I was angry at the situation, I mean, imagine how much was spent to cook that rice, if the people throwing the party had know that these party goers would only be interested in the meat, they would have simply served everyone a piece of meat.

On getting home, I had my bath and balanced with my spoon ready to do justice to my ‘party jollof’ I took one spoon and spat it out immediately,

The rice had gone bad.

I don’t know what went wrong; I still can’t understand how ‘Jollof’ rice that was still hot when it was served had gone bad.

I was heartbroken, that meal was supposed to serve as dinner and I had made no other plans, so I did like everyone else, I took the meat and threw out the rice.

Thousands of Naira spent on that food went to waste and people who came to once again feast on sweet Nigerian ‘party jollof’ were disappointed.

 Anna Thomas said these words,

“We all eat, and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly.”

I agree.

That party will always be remembered for the wrong reasons.

There is no good Nigerian party without good food.

At Mobilecooks we have made it our goal to ensure that you have a good party every time.

According to Malcom Forbes,

Food may be essential as fuel for the body but good food is fuel for the soul.

These words by Giada De Laurentiis are absolutely timeless,

“Food brings people together on many different levels. It’s nourishment of the soul and body; it’s truly love.”

Do you want to tell a love story?

Or you are planning to celebrate a life well spent?

Whatever it is,

With Mobilecooks you can be sure to tell your story well.

Let your party be remembered for the right reasons.

I will leave you with these words by Alan D. Wolfet

He said,

“Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate.”

If these words are true, it’s no wonder then how we all came to believe that,

“The way to a man’s heart is through his belly.”

In my opinion, the above statement works for both genders.

Like I said earlier,

There is no good party without good food.

THE NIGERIA OF OUR DREAMS

THE NIGERIA OF OUR DREAMS   Nigeria we hail thee! Our own dear native land, Though tribe and tongue may differ, In brotherhood we stand, Nigerians all, and proud to serve our sovereign Motherland.   Our flag shall be a symbol That truth and justice reign, In peace or battle honour’d, And this we count as gain, To hand on to our children A banner without stain.   O God of all creation, Grant this our one request, Help us to build a nation Where no man is oppressed, And so with peace and plenty Nigeria may be blessed.   This was our national anthem used from 1960 till 1978 composed by Lillian jean Williams. It looks like it foretold the future howbeit differently.   The Nigeria we looked forward to was one where truth and justice reigned. A land filled with peace and plenty. Where every man was equal and oppression was a thing of the past.   However, What we have today is the exact opposite of...

PREDICTING WHAT THE FUTURE HAS IN STORE FOR COOKING

WHAT THE FUTURE OF COOKING MIGHT LOOK LIKE   Ever wondered about the future?   Have you ever just looked back on your life, compared it to the present and wondered what the future holds?   You must have, at least once.   One thing no one really pays attention to is the kitchen.   We all know food comes out of there, all our lives food has always just emerged from the kitchen.   No one really wonders how humans evolved and learnt how to mix spices, make fires, make easily digestible meals etc.   Shall we take a peek into the past?   THE EVOLUTION OF COOKING AND THE KITCHEN Did you know that up until about 2 million years ago, humans ate their meat raw?   For humans to cook, they must first discover fire and scientists believe that the first use of fire by humans may be around 2 million years ago although the controlled use of fire was around 400,000 years ago.   In fact, It is believed that the...
